Delete Your AVVA Account

This page explains how to delete your AVVA account and the data associated with it. AVVA is operated by AVVA Health GbR (Donaustraße 44, 12043 Berlin, Germany).

How to delete your account

 

You have two ways to request deletion of your AVVA account.

​

Option 1 — From inside the AVVA app

​

  1. Open the AVVA app.

  2. On the Home screen, tap your account icon at the top right.

  3. Tap Delete account.

  4. Confirm when prompted.

​

Option 2 — By email

 

Send an email to team@avva.health from the email address associated with your AVVA account, with the subject line "Delete account".

​

We will process your request within 30 days and send you a confirmation when deletion is complete.

​

What is deleted

 

When you delete your account, we remove the following from our active systems:

​

  • Your account profile (email address, name, and date of birth)

  • Your symptom logs, tracking entries, and any other content you have entered into the app

  • Your AI conversation history

  • Personalisation data linked directly to your account

​

What is retained, and for how long

 

Some data is retained after account deletion in the following specific cases:

​

Backups (up to 12 months). Your data will remain in our routine backups until they expire on the standard rotation, after which it is permanently removed. Backups are used only for disaster recovery.

​

Pseudonymised research data. Data that has been derived from your use of the Services and converted into a pseudonymised form for research purposes — for example, embeddings used to improve our models — is retained under Article 9(2)(j) GDPR and §27 BDSG. This data is not linked to your account or identity.

​

Operational diagnostics (short-term). Technical logs, error reports, and product analytics events associated with your usage are subject to short retention periods (typically 90 days or less) and age out automatically.

​

Legal obligations. Where applicable law requires us to retain certain records (for example for accounting purposes), we retain only what is legally required, for the legally required period, and use it for no other purpose.
